Families Unlimited Network

A mission-driven website for a Pierce County non-profit connecting families with food assistance.

Families Unlimited Network serves University Place and Pierce County families through food bank services. Their site needed to do one job above all others: make it dead simple for someone to either get help or give help, with no confusion. We built a clean, accessible Wix site around those two paths, backed by clear volunteer and donation flows.

What we did

The challenge

A food bank website has two very different visitors. One is a family that needs food assistance and wants to know, quickly and without embarrassment, how to get it. The other is a neighbor who wants to donate or volunteer. When both are mixed together on a busy page, both can leave without finding what they came for.

Our approach

We organized the whole site around that split. “Get Help” and “Give Help” are the first choices in the navigation, and each path leads straight to the next step: finding services, giving online or signing up to volunteer. Online donations are built in, so giving takes a few clicks instead of a phone call or a mailed check.

Because Families Unlimited Network serves a broad community in University Place and across Pierce County, accessibility and mobile use came first. The pages use clear language, readable type and simple layouts that work on any phone, and community and impact sections show supporters what their help makes possible.

The site runs on Wix, which lets the non-profit’s team keep it up to date without needing a developer for everyday changes.
